Baltimore Orioles 7, Boston Red Sox 4

The Baltimore Orioles won today. The victory is now the second in a row for a club widely believed to be destined to occupy the league cellar. Of course, two wins in a row isn't much and doesn't even constitute a winning streak. However, it's encouraging. This is a young club, in the midst of a gigantic rebuild, and too often they are used as the butt of jokes.

In 2024, when the Orioles start cooking, this will be a gas then, but for now, if the Orioles are going to continue to go out and compete each day then maybe they should be treated like the rest of the teams in Major League Baseball and not like some blemish that baseball is stuck with.

The Orioles play the Marlins tomorrow at 7:10 EST for the start of a two game tilt in Miami. As of this writing, they are currently tied for first place in the American League East.
